You see, 15 plus years of graphic design experience has taught me that there are four C’s that can be seen as the core elements to successful design. Namely; communication, consideration, creativity and courage; When combined properly these characteristics, without a doubt, help your organisation and business speak to your audience in a meaningful and beneficial way.
You see, successful design is function and form. Not one and not the other…but both, in equal harmonious measure.
Now, let’s be completely honest, there is something a lot of designers have trouble accepting or admitting (and is probably the biggest stumbling block in the creation of genuinely valuable and powerful branding and design): Design is not about creating something the designer likes; in fact it’s not even about creating something you like; the goal, ultimately, is to create an outcome, a visual statement, that your audience connects with.
Communicating purposefully with your audience is after all, one of the most important things you can do for you business, service or organisation.
